A popular iteration of the Air Jordan 6 worn by Michael Jordan during his first NBA championship season is potentially returning to retailers next year.

According to sneaker leak accounts Sneaker Files and @zSneakerheadz on Instagram, the “Carmine” Air Jordan 6 is rereleasing in Spring 2027. The colorway was originally released in 1991 during MJ’s first championship run with the Chicago Bulls.

The sneaker dons a vibrant red nubuck offset by white leather overlays on the upper, paired with a black and white midsole and translucent pods on the outsole. There are currently no leaked images of the purported 2027 retro, and the sneaker shown here is the most recent 2021 release.

Since its debut in 1991, the “Carmine” Jordan 6 has returned three more times, including in 2008 as part of the Countdown Pack, in 2014, and in 2021.

At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has yet to confirm that the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine” is releasing again in 2027.
