Graduates in New York City and Nashville are completing high school in style thanks to a 6-week design program.

Created by artist and creative director J. Grant of JJGRANT in 2024, the youth-geared program I SEE ME: Caps Off invites 11th graders to design caps as a tribute to the graduating senior class. The high schoolers are given all the tools they need to craft one-of-a-kind caps, including silhouettes, colorways, artwork, custom patches and an original concept, refraining the traditional image of educational achievement.

With the program’s headquarters being located in the Bronx, schools that have participated in Caps Off include Grant’s alma mater Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom High School, which is shown in the Caps Off visual, Community School of Justice, Bronx International High School and Nashville Big Picture High School.
