Playboi Carti is a fan of BYREDO fragrances, at least according to Giovanna Ramos, a.k.a. Gio.
The reveal came during Gio’s appearance on a Kick stream with N3on on Wednesday (April 15), as seen in the clip below, with the streamer asking for her pick for the “best cologne that you like on guys.” Per N3on, he himself is on the hunt for a new scent at the moment, which inspired the question.
“Jordan be wearing this BYREDO cologne,” Gio said, using Carti’s birth name. “That shit tastes—whoa—that shit smells good as hell. I meant to say ‘smells good as hell.’ Fuck. … Anyways, BYREDO got some good shit.”
Gio, notably, covered her face after mistakenly saying “tastes.” She and Carti were placed at the center of heightened romance speculation last year, with Summer Walker referring to Gio as Carti’s “wife” in a social media post.
The exact perfume from the Swedish fragrance and accessories label wasn’t specified in the clip, though that hasn’t stopped fans from trying to connect the dots. This means Mojave Ghost, Rose of No Man’s Land, or any of the other numerous options currently available via BYREDO could be the Carti-approved scent in question.
Gio’s stream with N3on comes after she called out Carti in a series of Instagram Stories updates earlier this week. The posts, which were ultimately removed before expiring, saw the MUSIC artist being referred to as not only a “lanky bitch,” but also a “bald-headed” one.
“You won’t know rest until I’m dead,” she wrote in one post, pairing the message with an image of a Chucky doll.
During Wednesday’s stream, she downplayed the remarks, specifically her suggestion that she might leak unreleased Carti tracks.
“I would never,” she said. “I was mad, y’all. What the hell? Let that go.”
