Drake is showing his love for Sade in a big way.

The Iceman rapper commissioned artist Rebecca Maria to create a nine-foot sculpture of Sade from her Love Deluxe album cover. Maria used five different types of clay in the sculpture, which took six months to complete by hand.

Maria took to Instagram Stories to reflect on the challenges that she faced during the six-month process.

“There were times i really did not know how i was going to finish this sculpture, between issues dealing with the weight of the different clays i used to making sure the sculpture can stand on its own,” she wrote.

Maria recalled creating the sculpture while either looking at an image of the Love Deluxe album cover from her phone or “purely from memory.”

“I made this the hardest possible way just to see if i could,” she added. “So truly all your kind messages and comments mean so much to to me, thank you.”

Maria previously made three-foot-tall sculptures of Dipset for Drake. She also created chain sculptures for ASAP Rocky and recreated the Blonde album cover for Lil Yachty. This may be her largest custom piece to date.

Drake has made no secret of his love for Sade, getting not one, but two tattoos of the iconic singer on his torso.

Wonder what Sade thinks of this latest homage from one of his biggest admirers?
