Jacob & Co. founder Jacob Arabo has returned to The Godfather’s well of endless inspiration for a new double-melody musical timepiece.

The Godfather Part II is one of those rare sequels as strong as the original,” Arabo said of Jacob & Co.’s latest Francis Ford Coppola-informed creation in a statement provided to Complex. “We’ve put so much thought and creativity into this second opus that we believe it’s a worthy sequel.”

Indeed, the timepiece, in keeping true to its namesake, clearly aims to match the heights of its predecessors. The musical watch, Arabo’s latest tribute to the Coppola classic that stands as both his personal favorite film and the first one he ever saw in a theater, boasts the ability to play two key Nino Rota melodies from the original film’s score.

Billed as “the only double-melody musical timepiece,” complete with a black alligator leather strap and an 18K rose gold folding clasp, the new timepiece’s journey from idea to realization was a lengthy one. According to Arabo, the double-melody capabilities seen in the final product mark the result of a years-long development process.

“I wanted The Godfather II timepiece to offer a different take on the musical timepiece concept,” Arabo said. “We designed a refined, 1930s-inspired case and spent three years developing a movement that could play two melodies while remaining wearable.”

As a nod to The Godfather Part II’s 1974 theatrical release, just 74 of these timepieces—featuring a portrait of the late Marlon Brando as Don Corleone on the dial—are available. The listed retail price is $440,000.
