We knew the Grammys 2026 red carpet would be unpredictable. After all, the award show always delivers on surprises. Just look at Beyoncé’s viral shocked reaction to her wins for Cowboy Carter last year. But some things we can more or less guarantee, like the fact that there will be fabulous looks. Chappell Roan will likely wear something that toes the right line between couture and costume, while Sabrina Carpenter will be giving glamorous pin-up vibes. On the other hand, Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga are often style wildcards who could show up in, honestly, anything.
The 2025 Grammys’s red carpet featured Gracie Abrams in a Chanel hood, Janelle Monáe looking like the chicest train conductor you’ve ever seen, and Cardi B in all the feathers. With such a precedent, it’ll be interesting to see how the 2026 Grammys shake out—especially after such an unusual year in music. We famously went without a “song of the summer,” and even though Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl dominated the final months of the year, it won’t be eligible until the next Grammys. Will she show up anyway, maybe to present? Let’s hope.
Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar leads the pack in nominations; and as the most recent Super Bowl half-time headliner, he’s got buzz on his side. Then again, so does Bad Bunny, who had one of the biggest albums of the year and is headlining this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, which will take place just a week after the Grammys.
