Say the words “Olandria Carthen” or “Hudson Williams” on the internet, and two equally rabid fandoms will be summoned, ready to ride or die for the subjects of their adulation. Put the two together, and, well, the whole great experiment that is the internet might just combust.
That’s more or less what happened when Olandria Carthen and Hudson Williams posed together for a photo when they met at 2026 Golden Globe Awards on January 11. Carthen posted a photo with the actor to her Instagram Stories, which set off a cascade of Threads comments like, “Not be dramatic or anything but Hudson Williams and Olandria Carthen posing together at the Golden Globes has renewed my will to live.” And also, “My favorite part of awards season is the random, Avengers-level crossovers. Like Olandria + Hudson Williams together? Yes please!!!! 💚”
Carthen is, of course, a breakout star form Love Island USA and one half of Nicolandria, the It couple the internet can’t seem to get enough of. (Nic Vansteenberghe did not walk the carpet with her, however, we’re sure he’s cheering her on from home.) She’s also become something of a fashion icon, elevating the game with red carpet hit after red carpet hit—including the emerald green Christian Siriano gown she wore to the Globes.

The Year of Nicolandria
A year ago, Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe were living normal lives. Now they’re TV’s most obsessed-over couple, navigating fast fame, fan frenzy, and life after Love Island on Glamour’s 2025 holiday cover.
Williams, on the other hand, was less slow-burn, more over-night-sensation thanks to the wild success of Heated Rivalry, HBO’s hockey romance series in which he stars opposite Connor Storrie. (Storrie and Williams don’t have a portmanteau that we know of, but they’re mentioned together almost as frequently as Nicolandria.) Unlike Vansteenberghe, Storrie is at the Globes, where he and Williams will present an award. He did not make it into this crossover moment, however, so…bummer!
It’s probably for the best that Nicolandria and the Heated Rivalry boys didn’t all get together in one place. The fandoms would simply implode.
