Did you debate whether to have Gabriel send Emily a text or call her versus this very risky move of sending a postcard from a yacht in Greece? Because this could take three weeks to get there and then he’s back working again.

Meanwhile, Gabriel was in only a handful of episodes this season. Did that have anything to do with Lucas Bravo’s past comments about his frustration with his character, or was that always the plan, to keep Gabriel away?

I really think storywise, there would not have been room for…this story was not about Emily and Gabriel primarily this season, and I really feel like I got to tell exactly the story I wanted to tell this season, but I never thought of Gabriel not being part of the tapestry of the show.

I actually liked that he wasn’t around much because it made the ending that much more surprising. I wasn’t sure where it was going and really did think it was the end of them as a couple.

I feel like there was a sense that whenever you did see him…it was unexpected. You really didn’t have a strong sense of where it was going.
