The DMV rapper and longtime sneakerhead Wale is set to release his own colorway of Nike’s latest performance basketball shoe, the G.T. Future.
Wale getting his own G.T. Future collab makes sense since he was part of the sneaker’s rollout during the NBA All-Star Weekend in February. The rapper’s pair features a gradient color scheme on the molded upper, going from a lighter blue up top down to a darker shade below. Tucked within the Cushlon 3.0 midsole is a full-length Zoom Strobel unit for responsiveness. It’s also worth mentioning that Wale’s logo is printed on the insoles.
In addition to this new G.T. Future, Wale and Nike also recently made a friends-and-family exclusive Goadome collab that was raffled away last month.
This Wale x Nike G.T. Future will be released on Saturday, Dec. 13, exclusively at select Foot Locker stores in Maryland. The sneaker retails for $200.
