Authorities are searching for the suspects behind a seven-figure burglary at 4G, a high-end SoHo store that caters to celebrity clients.
According to PIX11, surveillance footage captured a four-person team breaking into the appointment-only showroom at around 4:45 a.m. Monday (December 1).
After busting the store windows, the individuals entered the shop and quickly began stuffing merchandise into bags. They reportedly made off with about $1 million worth of goods, many of which were one-of-a-kind designs.
“They took a lot of ‘one of one’ high-end merchandise,” 4G manager Tommy Macari told the outlet. “They definitely knew what they were going for. They came in, they had a spotter outside, they had a getaway driver. Kind of like the Louvre incident, to be honest.”
Marcari said the thieves showed up at the Spring Street shop, climbed the fire escape ladder, and chucked a brick through the shop’s second-story window. After stuffing bags with clothing and accessories, the burglars reportedly fled in a sedan.
“They were in and out in four-and-a-half minutes… 91 seconds later, the NYPD was here,” Marcari continued. “Four minutes after that, we were here.”
The manager told NBC 4 that thieves swiped the store’s entire jean inventory, which was “the most valuable.” He claimed 4G owner, Vincent Ferraro, has reportedly sold some of the denim pieces for six figures. Among the stolen items was a pair of jeans previously owned by rock legend Lenny Kravitz.
“Yeah, a big hit, but we’re back in business, [and] we’re ready to rock,” Macari said.
Police have yet to make any arrests in connection to the burglary and, as of press time, have not identified the suspects; however, Macari said he’s confident the police will find the culprits, as the stolen items are easy to identify.
“People wear these clothes to be seen in it,” he told the Independent. “And, you know, if you’re seen in a one-of-one piece, we’re going to figure it out.”
Ferraro launched 4G in 2011 as a luxury eBay resale business. He has since expanded the company into an exclusive boutique that boasts a stacked clientele list including Future, Jerry Jeudy, Lee Daniels, Tyga, Drake and Mark Wahlberg.
