Size: Luckily, Apple Watch Ultra bands are one-size-fits-all, so right off the bat that’s something you don’t have to worry about. All Ultras have a 49mm case, so the bands are sized to pop right in. Just make sure that when you are buying a band for your Apple Watch Ultra 2, you get the one marked 49mm or explicitly for the Ultra, because the largest regular-series Apple Watch is only 46mm.

Material: I picked the best of each material from a variety of contenders. In general, people are looking for something either soft and nylon, rubbery and resistant, made of leather (or faux/vegan leather), or metal. The material of a watchband depends on your activities and personal preference. You can work out in a stainless-steel watchband, but you probably don’t want to. Likewise, if you are attending an important dinner meeting, it might not be a good idea to come rocking a bright rubber dive band. Unless, of course, you work as a scuba instructor.

Comfort: In my experience, this goes hand in hand with material preference. I find leather and nylon bands to be the most comfortable, but it really just depends on the band itself.

Durability: You don’t want a band that will crap out after a few months. All of these picks will last you as long as your Apple Watch Ultra 2 will.
