OVO is making some changes.

A press release from PETA reveals that Drake’s clothing company will no longer use real fur in its products. OVO acquiesced following pressure from PETA and after receiving over 100,000 emails from PETA supporters that encouraged the brand to ban fur, including rabbit and coyote fur. The organization is thanking its supporters by sending them OVO bunny-shaped vegan chocolates.

“Fur belongs on the animals who were born in it, not on jackets and footwear,” PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman said in a statement. “PETA celebrates OVO’s decision to join the overwhelming majority of fashion and clothing businesses that are shunning the hideously cruel fur industry.”

According to the nonprofit, animals killed for fur are kept in small, dirty wire cages for the duration of their lives, and then are electrocuted, gassed, or poisoned. If the animals are wild, they are caught in traps and often suffer for days until the trappers retrieve and kill them.

Other popular clothing brands have banned fur, including Canada Goose, Moncler, Dolce & Gabbana, and Moose Knuckles.
