Some holiday traditions operate like clockwork—Christmas happens on the same day every year, the Lions play on Thanksgiving and Home Alone will be playing somewhere through the end of December—while others are just as anxiously anticipated, but a bit less scheduled. The Mr Porter Black Friday sale, for instance, is the latter. But when it hits, it hits hard.

And folks, it has indeed hit. As of this very moment, the generous brass at Mr Porter are offering up to 50% off one of the best menswear selections on the planet. We’re not talking past-season leftovers, either (although the deals are insane on those, too), because the Mr Porter Black Friday sale is absolutely brimming with current-season bangers, perennial standbys, and the kind of statement pieces that will absolutely rankle any work enemies you might have in a holiday party setting.

Once again, thousands of pieces from some of the most venerated labels in menswear, up to 50% off. So, if you’ve been eyeing something, there’s a great chance it’s on sale, and if you haven’t felt like tempting yourself, know that now is the best time you could possibly do so. And because roadmaps can be helpful when navigating a massive selection, we went through and picked some of our favorites down below. For those into trailblazing, however, head on over yourself.

Mr Porter Black Friday FAQ

Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving, which means that it falls on November 29 this year. But Black Friday deals are no longer confined to the single day, or even the weekend. Discounts start prior to Thanksgiving, and nearly every one lasts until at least that following Monday. Mr. Porter’s Black Friday sale kicked off on the 26th, and should run through the weekend at the very least.

Cyber Monday traditionally happens the Monday after Black Friday, which means that it’s on December 2 this year. If prior years are any indication, Mr. Porter will surely be continuing their sale through Cyber Monday. But if you’re looking to take full advantage of deals, we wouldn’t advise waiting all the way until then—Mr. Porter is a big store, but they don’t always have a ton of each product available.

What are the best brands to shop at Mr Porter?

We truly do like most of the brands that you’ll see gracing the digital racks at Mr. Porter, but we’d be lying if we said we didn’t have our favorites. That list includes usual suspects—like Dries Van Noten, The Row, Bode, Trickers, Kapital, Mackintosh, Drake’s, Our Legacy, Wales Bonner—but also some lesser-known imprints, like Beams Plus, Barena Venezia, Stòffa, Ghaia Cashmere, OrSlow and De Bonne Facture. And then we also have our favorite crunchy and/or small-batch labels, like Kartik Research, Story MFG and The Elder Statesman, to name a few. (We missed some, but that’s a good problem not a bad one.)

Will Mr Porter have a Cyber Monday sale?

The short answer is yes, they will. The longer answer is that it will most likely roll over from Black Friday, with some promotions specifically tailored for Cyber Monday. It could absolutely increase, or adjust a bit, so make sure you check back, but—once again—nothing on sale is guaranteed to last, so it’s best to move on the things you’re into.
