Ergonomics sure, but even size, the number and location of buttons, and screen brightness plays into this. When reading, you want your hands and your eyes to be comfortable.

Long lasting battery: An ebook reader is an alternative to lugging around books. The battery life shouldn’t compare with phones or tablets. It should last you much, much longer. When it comes to writing and taking notes on them, they are also much better at mimicking the feel of writing on paper. So that’s pretty neat.
