While Nike has introduced plenty of new Kobe colorways in recent memory, it looks like the brand has plans to bring back an existing Kobe 5 style soon.

Newly leaked images from @idontsellshoes on Instagram show a first look at the upcoming “Draft Day” Nike Kobe 5 Protro. This colorway was originally released in 2010 and as the story goes, this pair pays homage to the late Kobe Bryant being drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in the 1996 NBA Draft before eventually getting traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The “Draft Day” Kobe 5 dons the Hornets’ signature teal and purple team colors, including on the Swoosh, heel counter, and outsole.

Currently, a firm release date for this “Draft Day” Kobe 5 Protro has yet to be revealed. Check back soon for new developments in the coming months.
