The in-person sneaker release for Division Street’s “What the Duck” Nike Dunk was shut down by police in New York City this weekend due to concerns for public safety.

Last month, Flight Club and GOAT announced the exclusive launch of the two-shoe “What the Duck” Dunk Low collection, with the first drop scheduled to take place at Flight Club today. In a series of videos shared by @Cop_o_clock on Instagram, we can see the massive crowd in front of the consignment shop’s New York location. Given the amount of hype surrounding the sneaker, chaos ensued in the lineup, which prompted the NYPD to shut down the release.

Flight Club also confirmed on Instagram that the New York release has been canceled today and will be rescheduled for a later date. For sneaker fans who are interested in trying to cop a pair without the madness, there’s also a limited drop happening on the GOAT app on Oct. 11.
