When I think of Floyd, greige millennial floors and white walls pop into my head. (I believe the kids are calling it the “landlord special.”) This DTC furniture brand is heavily associated minimalism, which is personally not my favorite. This blocky modular couch looks like it came out of Minecraft, in my opinion.

But for the sake of objectivity, I have to say a lot of people prefer this sort of simplicity. If you like this look, then Floyd is a great choice for you (though not me). Similar to the landlord special memes, this style of contemporary furniture features a lot of poorly made brands, but Floyd is not one. It takes the look but does so with quality materials. It is one of the firmest couches on this list, so it’s a better fit for those who like to sit upright or want more support.

Floyd is famous for making easy-to-assemble and -disassemble furniture for those who are moving frequently. The modular sectional comes apart via heavy-duty metal clips. You can choose from 16 different fabric options, including the millennial mineral, though there are some more vibrant colors, too, like Mint and Terra Cotta.
