These materials are great for durable, sweat-resistant, and stretchy enough skirts that can handle your most dramatic serves, she says.
You’ll notice that many skirts are made with polyester instead of nylon. Polyester is generally more affordable than nylon, so it helps keep the price lower. However, nylon has an edge; it can enhance durability and abrasion resistance, which is great for withstanding the wear and tear of frequent play, Salazar Garza says. “Plus, it helps wick away moisturie—so you’re not just a sweaty mess but a stylish, well-maintained sweaty mess.” Polyester still gets the job done, but a skirt with nylon is likely to have a more premium feel and longer life on the court.
