Stone Island has long been a force to be reckoned with. Unveiling a new chapter in its storied legacy, the Italian imprint has released its Compass Inside manifesto and campaign, starring members of its community in items from its Spring/Summer 2024 collection. 

From music and choreography to art and skateboarding, the brand enlists a diverse selection of global creatives in a series of portraits against Stone Island’s iconic white background. Compass Inside sees the likes of actor Jason Statham, rapper/producer Dave, tennis player Henry Searle and trip-hop artist Tricky feature in the campaign. Each star was asked ten questions by curator and critic Hans Ulrich Obrist, with the answers appearing alongside the images.

Introduced this season is the STONE ISLAND CLOSED LOOP PROJECT, which reuses cotton material scraps from the brand’s own production chain. The scraps are collected and reprocessed to obtain new blended yarns, containing at least 50% recovered materials. Developed over four years, the collection includes a hooded trench coat, shirt jacket and blouson, each garment dyed with natural pigment.

“Our vision for Stone Island is expressed in The Compass Inside, establishing our core values in a tangible way,” explains Stone Island’s CEO, Robert Triefus. “Relentless innovation, self-reliance, solidarity and material obsession are the cardinal directions of our compass… We design for the real world, and so our new creative narrative features notable figures from the global Stone Island family.”
