Literally everyone is disappointed by the Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig Oscar nominations snubs, apparently. And by everyone I mean, like, Hillary Clinton has weighed in. Ryan Gosling himself has released a statement about it. A-listers from across the celebrity spectrum have all come together to be mad at the Academy on behalf of Barbie.

After the Oscar nominations were announced on January 23, Gosling, ever the consummate Ken, released a statement expressing some disappointment that his co-star and director didn’t get the same recognition that he did. “There is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally-celebrated film,” Gosling said, per People. “No recognition would be possible for anyone on the film without their talent, grit, and genius.”

Simu Liu, who played one of the other Kens in the film, kept the Kenergy going and tweeted, “Being involved in a small way gave me a window into just how hard Greta and Margot had to fight to get Barbie made, and how flawlessly they executed. Together they started a movement, touched the world and reinvigorated the cinema.” America Ferrera, who, like Gosling, was nominated for Barbie, told Variety, “I was incredibly disappointed that they weren’t nominated.” She continued, “Greta has done just about everything that a director could do to deserve it,” and, “What Margot achieved as an actress is truly unbelievable.”
