In the comments, a number of fans have started speculating that this hair shift signifies the young actor will be playing Britney Spears in a potential biopic. This both does and does not make sense.

Why it does not: With the exception of Jon M. Chu being attached to direct and Marc Platt producing, there hasn’t been any official announcement about this movie getting underway. It would be absolutely wild for Millie Bobby Brown to tease her casting at this point, not to mention change her hair, when she’d just have to get her roots done again when cameras start rolling. And Wicked was directed by? Jon M. Chu. So these kinds of stunts may work on him.

Emma Roberts is on the record as wanting to play Britney, but so is Brown. She’s high on the list of rumored or at least desired stars. (Meanwhile, Billboard wants MBB for Jamie Lynn…also a blonde!)
