Over the past few weeks, Justin Theroux has had his fair share of mega menswear moments. At the end of last month, the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star stepped out in a sweater from Chateau Marmont (a very famous hotel for very famous people). A few days later, he pulled up to the Venice Film Festival in a sick Zegna suit (sans tie, no less). But he wasn’t finished. Just yesterday, Theroux landed at New York Fashion Week rocking one of the raddest suede jackets we’ve ever seen.

At the Ralph Lauren show held in the Hamptons’s Khalily Stables, a fancy equestrian compound about 100 miles outside of the NYC, there was a lot of cheering and a lot of clapping. Both, we humbly submit, should have been for Theroux’s jacket.

RRL Roughout Suede Jacket

Crafted from roughout suede, a leather that’s been specially waxed to make it more hard-wearing and water-resistant, the jacket is equipped with three pockets across the front that can be fastened with American-made metal buttons. (That Theroux was at a Ralph Lauren show should give you a pretty good idea of who designed it.) Surprisingly, though, it isn’t from the brand’s core collection, or even its elite Purple Label sub-line—it’s from RRL, Ralph’s industry-favorite ode to the American West.

RRL debuted in ‘93, right around the time Mr. Lauren bought himself a sprawling 15,000-acre ranch out in Colorado. The ’90s are a big point of reference in menswear right now, and Theroux’s jacket looks like it was swiped straight from the era in the best way possible. You don’t need to buy the exact jacket he’s wearing (though if you’re looking for the ne plus ultra of the form, look no further), but we’d strongly recommend springing for a similar joint before the leaves turn golden. Bonus point if you complete the look with weathered jeans and rodeo-ready boots.
