It’s been a wild start to 2024 for Jeremy Allen White. While there are no official statistics for accidents caused by The Bear actor’s big Calvin Klein underwear billboards, we can only assume injuries have occurred given the levels of head-turning thirst. Coupled with White winning big at the Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice Awards, and the delayed Emmy Awards, moments of solace and silence have been few and far between for him. So much so, we wouldn’t blame him for wanting to still be (spoiler alert, if you haven’t watched The Bear season two) locked in that walk-in fridge.
Amid all the hysteria, JAW has quietly been rocking some rather delicious-looking wristwear. Always partial to a Vacheron Constantin flex, it was his mysterious Critics’ Choice piece that caught the attention of GQ’s nosy watch-spotting club (official membership plans are ongoing).
Why? Because it’s possible the actor was wearing a watch that had yet to be released… until now.
Today, in Miami for LVMH Watch Week, the beloved Italian jeweler Bulgari announced it’s bringing back a bit of a classic. If loud and proud is your vibe—and you think about the Roman empire a lot—you’ll love the new collection of Bulgari Bulgari watches, which famously feature “Bulgari” debossed around the gold bezels.
They are hard to miss, which is what made the one on JAW’s wrist earlier this month unmistakable. Despite only a quarter of the watch poking out from beneath his tuxedo sleeve, the case is so recognizable that it wasn’t terribly hard to ID. And now that it’s been officially released, we can celebrate that the Bulgari Bulgari revival is happening.
“I love this watch… or should I say ‘adoro questo orologio,’” says Dimepiece’s Brynn Wallner, who reckons she might be close to the top of the Bulgari Bulgari fan club. “With the original Bulgari Bulgari debuting in 1975, the timing feels right for its comeback—’70s watches have been in the spotlight, and I love that this one evokes the flashiness of the decade with the recurring engraved logo on the bezel. I’ve had my eye on the Bulgari Bulgari line ever since my friend and pro watch dealer Alan Bedwell scooped one up at an antique watch fair (which we sold within a day of listing on my website).”
