Chappell Roan’s Grammys 2025 look is everything we’d hoped for and then some.
The “Good Luck, Babe!” singer hit the red carpet in a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier dress from 2003 that her stylist, Genesis Webb, pulled from the archives.
Per E! News’s Zanna Roberts Rossi, Webb said that she’s always looking for something “bigger and campier” for Roan, and this certainly fits the bill.

Roan styled the gown pretty much exactly as it was worn on the runway by Mariacarla Boscono: a feathered headpiece and baby blue opera gloves (though Roan’s were sheer, and were cut at the tips to let her nails poke through) complete the punk-ballerina vibe. However, she did swap the black choker for a baby blue tulle scarf and the black tights for lace-front boots with a yellow toe. And of course, Roan wore vibrant, drag-inspired makeup which has become her signature.
At last year’s VMAs, where Roan took home the best new artist award, she said in her speech, “I dedicate this to all the drag artists who inspire me.”
“I dedicate this to queer and trans people who fuel pop,” she continued, ”to the gays, who dedicate my songs to someone they love or hate…for all the queer kids in the midwest watching right now, I see you. I understand you, because I am one of you.”
