15 Secrets About Jennifer Lopez’s Enough Revealed

Published

on

1. The movie is based on the 1998 bestselling novel Black and Blue by Anna Quindlen.

2. Sandra Bullock was initially set to star as Slim in Enough, but had to back out due to scheduling conflicts with another film, according to a 2001 Variety report.

3. In a 2002 episode of E!s Behind the Scenes: Enough, director Michael Apted admitted he was initially hesitant to work with Jennifer Lopez after rumors of her diva-like behavior began to surface.

“You hear all the legends about his difficult she is and its going to be hard to get through it and all this kind of stuff, and then we met and we got on,” Apted explained. “But then there was a kind of gap between us agreeing to do it and starting to rehearse and during that time I could never get a hold of her. She was always so busy. And I thought, oh my god, this is a big, tough job and if she isn’t going to be around, how are we going to get through it?”

But Apted quickly discovered his star was “very focused on what’s in front of her. If you’re in her peripheral, forget it ,you won’t get the time of day,” he continued. “Up until when we started rehearsing, I was very much in the peripheral of her life. But once we started, she was incredibly focused. What I love about her is that she’s gifted, but she’s also very hardworking.”

During that hiatus, Pete was able to focus solely on raising his and Ashlee’s son Bronx, now 14.

“Here’s what it really was: At 31, we’d had all these great years as a band, and then we took time off, and I basically became Mr. Mom,” he said on The Howard Stern Show in 2015. “I had the beard, the flannel shirt. I didn’t know what my identity was. That factored in. When your identity is what you do, it’s hard when you stop doing it.”

But amid his divorce from the “Pieces of Me” singer and the band’s hiatus, Pete confessed he fell into a cycle of depression.

“I think it was a combination of all these factors at once, including being too young,” he told host Howard Stern. “And we were doing this all in the public eye, which as you know, it doesn’t help, because you have people scrutinizing everything you do.”

The “Yellow” singer went on to confess that although the packs are expensive “they are amazing and the things that people do to consider other people are just wonderful.”

And along with her heartwarming contribution to Coldplay concerts, it’s safe to say Dakota, 33, is Chris’ no. 1 fan. Back in November, the Madame Web actress was seen dancing at his show in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and she’s previously revealed that she tours with the band when she’s not working.

And her frequent attendance at his shows is not lost on Chris, who paid tribute to the Persuasion star during a 2021 Coldplay show in London. While introducing the song “My Universe,” Chris told the crowd, “this is about my universe, and she’s here,” as he pointed to Dakota in the stands before serenading her with the song.
